But for me, comparing PSP7 to PSP2021 is (to some degree) like comparing Office 2003 with Office 365. Yes, PSP9 or PSP2021 will have (much) more options. Other than that, I prefer it over newer (slower to start) versions even with the quirks (and things missing) it does have, for software which is 20 years old. For me, biggest disavantage is that it can't load images with filenames containing 'non-standard' characters (like chinese or russian characters). maybe if you use some kind of RAM-disk - not sure). For some reason, those additional things can't stay in memory (well. PSP9 And every version after PSP7 can't be started so fast: it always takes more time to load it (relatively seen: much more time) it needs to load plug-ins and such. And there are of course basic 'viewer' options like zoom-in and zoom-out. Because, once loaded in memory: on a modern PC PSP7 will load very fast the next time and then you have very fast many tools available to edit/view the image the way you want (try to find the most used key shortcuts). IMHO, PSP7 is way better if you use it the way I do: also use it as image viewer. ![]() But when reading the above comment, I had to react. ![]() PaintShop Pro: Photo Editing Software by Corel It has all the same features and some improvements.Yes, this is a very old thread.
